Barbers Hill is proud to announce that Anabella DeGregorio, an exceptional student and dancer, was selected as an All-State Dancer and had the honor of performing at the Texas Dance Educators Association (TDEA) Convention.
On January 11th, 31 Barbers Hill students competed at the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) Area level of the prestigious All-State Tryouts. The TMEA audition process is designed to promote students' dedication to their musical knowledge and skills, while encouraging educators to support their students in their development. Each fall, over 70,000 high school students across Texas audition within their TMEA Regions, performing selected music for a panel of judges who rank each instrument or voice part.
On Friday, January 10th, Barbers Hill High School art students showcased their talent at the prestigious Houston Livestock Show Rodeo Art Competition. Competing among a pool of talented young artists, several Barbers Hill students earned top honors and advanced to the next round of judging.

Two Barbers Hill High School mock trial teams excelled at the Chambers County Mock Trial Competition on Friday, December 6th in Anahuac. Both teams showcased exceptional legal skills and courtroom presence, earning impressive results.
The talented young artists at Barbers Hill High School have created a thoughtful gift for their younger peers. Their creative zentangle coloring sheets will be available in district counseling offices, providing a calming and therapeutic activity for younger students during stressful times.
The Barbers Hill High School Soaring Eagle Band recently made significant strides in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-Region Band competition. Of the 60 students who participated in the audition at Pearland High School last week, a remarkable 20 advanced to the Area round on January 11th. This achievement marks a major milestone in the All-State Band process.
